Part-Time Accounting Clerk

 The Accounting Clerk will assist with daily accounting tasks as assigned by the Accounting Manager.

 Part-time position, Monday-Friday, flexible hours, or as assigned by the Accounting Manager. Additional hours may be needed as business and project demands require.

 IT Programmer/Analyst 

 The IT Programmer / Analyst will work with Senior IT Programmer / Analyst(s), users and management to design, develop, test and implement software to meet the ongoing needs of the Company.

 Full-time position, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm or as assigned by the IT Manager.  Overtime as business and project demands require.

Qualifications:

  • Follow all Company safety policies and safety procedures in order to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Follow all Company policies, rules and regulations.
  • Act as a professional representative of Wausau Coated Products, Inc. at all times.
  • Work with Senior IT Programmer / Analyst(s), users and management to assess software needs and system requirements.
  • Mentor Entry Level IT Programmer / Analyst(s) to assist them with their tasks and projects.
  • Formulate and communicate ideas for software to help solve business problems.
  • Design, develop, test, document, implement and support new custom-written software, as well as modify and support existing software.
  • Set-up new users and maintain security rights.
  • Develop, run and distribute custom queries and reports, as needed.
  • Create and modify customer-specific product label templates.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing specification templates.
  • Recommend and help implement server, network, PCs and other hardware required to support software requirements.
  • Help with administration of Microsoft SQL and MySQL servers and databases.
  • Monitor existing software and increase performance, as needed.
  • Train users on new and existing software.
  • Flexibility to support operational activities, as needed.
  • Provide 24 / 7 support by carrying a pager on a rotating schedule with other members of the IT Department.


Process Engineer

 The Process Engineer is responsible to provide leadership and project management capability to implement customer focused processes and product improvements by identifying opportunities for cost reduction, lead-time reduction, inventory reduction and quality improvement while improving employee safety.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 1-3 years applicable experience in a coating or paper converting environment desired
  • Software proficiency (MS-Office, CAD)
  • Experience with Six Sigma and Lean concepts
  • Proven project management experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, and procedure manuals. Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization;
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, as well as the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, trigonometry, and geometry;
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy required
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills 

 

Quality Control Production Lab Technician

The Lab Technician is responsible to ensure quality control lab testing is performed with efficiency and accuracy while following standard testing procedures, as well as ensure that pressure sensitive products being manufactured on the production coaters meets all specifications for that product.

Full-time position; 12-hour Rotating Night Schedule, 7:00 pm-7:00am

Qualifications:

  • Follow all Company safety policies and procedures, Critical 9 Workplace Safety Rules and 3 Safety Obligations.
  • Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills; verbal and written.
  • Good computer experience.
  • Good to excellent math skills.
  • Individual initiative/assertiveness and follow-through.
  • Good record of job performance, attendance and punctuality.
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Able to squat and lift approximately 50 lbs.


Maintenance Mechanic
Under the direction of the Maintenance and Engineering Manager, the Maintenance Mechanic will safely provide service and maintenance on equipment and machines, as well as assist in the construction of new equipment and machines.

Full-time position, Monday – Friday, 7:00 am-3:00 pm, or as assigned by the Maintenance Manager. Overtime as business and project demands require.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Two (2) years vocational school with maintenance or equipment servicing preferred
  • Millwright certificate desired
  • Minimum five (5) years equipment maintenance support and / or custom fabrication experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers and utilize every means necessary to keep equipment and machines operating in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ability to follow directions and read layout plans, schematics, blueprints and other drawings
  • Ability to keep records/use computer
  • Ability to work 8-9 hour shift, including weekends when needed
  • Willingness to work reasonable weekly or daily overtime as required or needed
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurability


Coater Helper- non-rotating 12 hour shift (Day or Nights)

Under the direction of the machine operator, the Helper is responsible to keep the equipment supplied with raw materials in order to ensure equipment maintains non-stop production. The Helper is responsible to keep accurate inventories of raw materials brought to the equipment (cycle count) and test materials to ensure customer specifications are met.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Experience operating a powered industrial truck is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, manuals and schedules.
• Ability to calculate basic math figures, such as addition, subtraction, division.
• Good organizational skills.
• Average computer skills and ability to learn Company-specific systems.
• Willingness to learn.
• Confidence and professionalism in representing the Company.
• Willingness to be a team player.


 

Press and Converting Helper

Under the direction of the machine operator, the Helper is responsible to keep the equipment supplied with raw materials in order to ensure equipment maintains non-stop production. The Helper is responsible to keep accurate inventories of raw materials brought to the equipment (cycle count) and test materials to ensure customer specifications are met.

Rotating shifts: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts; Monday – Friday, 7 am – 3 pm, Monday – Friday, 3 pm – 11 pm, and Sunday-Thursday, 11 pm-7 am.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience operating a powered industrial truck is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, manuals and schedules.
  • Ability to calculate basic math figures, such as addition, subtraction, division.
