Senior Product Catagory Manager **NEW**

Synopsis: The Senior Product Category Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our Consumerpackaged goods labelstocks by leveraging marketing expertise to reach and engage our target audience effectively. Responsibilities will span from strategic to tactical, including analyzing market and competitive conditions, forecasting, laying out a product vision and developing marketing plans. This individual is equally comfortable completing project tasks as guiding the team to fulfilling strategic vision and their success will be measured by profit dollars associated with the product lines managed.

 General Responsibilities:
• Product expert, understand converter and end consumer views, manage the product lifecycle, and drive the long-term roadmap to help accelerate our
  growth and development.
• Play a key role in accelerating the pace of Innovation, developing stakeholder-focused solutions to drive sustained growth, and shaping the future of
  sustainable label solutions for premium consumer packaged goods.
• Work closely with various teams as a cross-functional quarterback responsible for strategically driving the development, launch, and continual support
  and improvement of the Company’s packaging solutions.
• Develop and execute labelstock solution strategies to drive sustained growth and help our customers achieve their packaging and sustainability goals.
• Understand the premium consumer packaged goods market and customer point-of-view by assessing stakeholder needs, market trends, competitive
  offerings, and growth opportunities.
• Understand and act as the voice of the customer.
• Develop product and market insights using market research methodologies like focus groups, quantitative and qualitative research, industry white
  papers, and point-of-sale purchase data.
• Assess and prioritize opportunities to define product strategies and roadmaps.
• Develop business plans and executive presentations linking product, commercial, and operations strategies.
• Own features/solution decisions and lead agile feedback, prototyping, and experiments to test hypotheses.
• Champion leading product development methodologies (e.g., lean, agile, design thinking, etc.) and partner with project managers to create strong bias
  for action to ensure speed and efficiency with the innovation process.
• Partner with sales and marketing to develop category and product positioning, product sheets, sales and marketing collateral and training materials,
  and strategies to drive customer adoption (e.g., lead generation).
• Develop pricing guidelines for all category products working cross functionally with feedback from the sales team to maximize profits and drive volume 
  growth.
• Manage the complete product lifecycle from concept to commercialization and end of life.
• Track product and category performance measures like product revenue, quality, market share, and growth.
• Collaborate with leading customers to extract VOC input to support development of product line extensions and seeding concepts for new product
  categories.
• Monitor product performance, analyze sales data, and gather customer feedback to make data-driven decisions for ongoing product improvements.
• Work in collaboration with supply chain team to monitor sales vs forecasts.
• Innovate, collaborate, and engage with co-partner original equipment manufacturers to create and qualify WCP’s labelmaterial for customer needs.
• Analyze product portfolio to monitor product life cycles and make recommendations for discontinuations.

Building Brand Equity
• Identify product improvement opportunities using sales data, customer feedback and feedback from internal stakeholders.
• Develop strategies to effectively position the products in the market and enhance product competitiveness.
• Support Product Development Team(s) in the assigned product portfolio and implement Market Introduction Plan for products.
• Assume project leadership for product introductions and/or discontinuations.
• Work closely with Marketing Communications to effectively promote and position the portfolio within targeted customer segments and specialties.
• Deliver content for the creation of all marketing collateral including a wide range of internal and external content such as product data sheets, manuals,
  sales scripts and FAQs.

Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor’s degree required. Package engineering curriculum preferred.
• MBA strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in developing/launching consumer packaged goods. Sales experience preferred. Exposure to premium labeling,
  packaging, and/or pressure sensitive products desired.

Specific Skills, Licensure and Certifications
• Demonstrated success in defining and launching products that meet and exceed business objectives.
• Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects with diverse, cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; including strong experience with presentation creation (e.g., PowerPoint) and delivery to an
  executive level audience and all relevant stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
• Strong problem solving, creative, and analytical skills with the ability to analyze business conditions and create actionable recommendations.
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to prioritize with autonomy.
• Ability to travel approximately 20-30% of the time.
