Coater Assistant *12 hour shift (7 pm - 7 am)

This includes picking and prepping raw materials, loading/unloading product on the machines, housekeeping, and assisting operators wherever necessary.

Flexo Press Operator (1st/2nd shift rotation) *NEW*

Wausau Coated is looking for experienced Narrow Web Flexo Printing Press Operators to join our team and help us run the quality labels we are known for. This person will set up and run a Narrow Web Flexo Mark Andy Press. Wausau Coated manufactures pressure-sensitive labels, peel and reseal labels and also variable data labels. Part of your responsibility will be to ensure the job is running properly and check quality throughout the run of printing labels. If you are an experienced Label Press Operator and are driven to work with other great people and take pride in what you do, we want you!

You will be working with custom product packaging and printing labels, flexible packaging, and fulfillment in several industries such as food and beverage, shelf marking, and industrial direct labeling.

Qualified applicants will have:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience operating a Narrow Web Flexographic Press
• Pay depends on experience level
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication and mathematical skills
• Be reliable with a great work ethic
• Experience operating a Mark Andy machine is a bonus
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds

Quality Control Assistant

The Quality Control Assistant is responsible for assisting the QC Manager with creation, execution and continuous improvement of quality system and procedures. Attend Ok corral meetings, inventory review meetings, enter vendor claims, and take care of customer product which is returned to WCP. 

WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time position, Monday – Friday, 6:00am- 2:00 pm. Overtime as business demands and staffing needs require.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow all Company safety policies and safety procedures
• Ensure a safe and clean work area
• Handle supplier claims/returns. Entry and follow-up of Return Purchase Orders with vendors
• Follow through on customer returns in regard to inspection and relabeling
• Facilitate internal corrective actions
• Assist in special analytical testing as required
• Ok corral documentation and resolution of QC defects via inspection
• Participate in inventory review meetings
• Assist in sample request preparation & shipment
• Assist other QC Assistants and Lab Techs for vacation relief and daily tasks as necessary
